The Mr. P Signature 6.6 tuba mouthpiece is the latest design by Professor Daniel Perantoni of the prestigious Indiana University School of Music, aka, "Mr. P". The 6.6 is the result of over 50 years of Mr. P's experience in instrument and mouthpiece design.
The Mr. P Signature 6.6 tuba mouthpiece has a moderately deep cup, that rounds out at the bottom. It uses the same sharp, but comfortable rim as the Mr. P 6.5 mouthpiece, but can provide even more power when needed. The 6.6 is an excellent choice for players using F or Eb tubas in chamber settings or large ensembles. It can also be a great option on a contrabass tuba when you have to play difficult passages in the upper register.
