This pre-owned Liberation Mr. P Signature tuba mouthpiece is in excellent condition with very minor signs of wear. The shank has very faint insertion marks and the rim is 9.5/10. Any blemishes on the rim are only cosmetic.

The Mr. P 4.4 tuba mouthpiece by Liberation is designed by Daniel Perantoni, Professor of Music at the distinguished Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. Also known as Mr. P, Perantoni has been in the mouthpiece business for several decades and the 4.4 is the modern version of an earlier very successful design. The Mr. P Signature tuba mouthpieces have been engineered for better response, ease of playability, and a centered, focused sound.
The Mr. P 4.4 is a smaller funnel shaped mouthpiece that is designed especially for 5/4 and 6/4 CC and BBb tubas. The Helleberg style cup will add overtones to the strong fundamental sound of a larger tuba. Mr. P has also designed a sharper rim for better flexibility and more overall weight for power.
