The Mr. P 4.4H tuba mouthpiece by Liberation is designed by Daniel Perantoni, Professor of Music at the distinguished Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. Also known as Mr. P, Perantoni has been in the mouthpiece business for several decades and the 4.4H is the modern version of an earlier very successful design. The Mr. P Signature tuba mouthpieces have been engineered for better response, ease of playability, and a centered, focused sound.
The Mr. P 4.4H has the same cup and rim as the 4.4. It’s a great medium large mouthpiece that can make 3/4 and 4/4 contrabass tubas sound larger. The main difference is that the 4.4H is a true “heavyweight” model that has added mass, for more focus, and even more power.

Depending on inventory levels, the Mr. P mouthpiece you receive may be labeled "Mr. P Signature - Potenza Music". This model is exactly the same as "Liberation" but has the former distributor's label.
