    The RT-44 provides great projection for larger tubas.  The 44 uses a shallower cup that emphasizes brilliance and more color.  The slightly larger bore compensates for the shallower cup.  The fast response and flexibility of the RT-44 makes it ideal for BBb and CC tubas.

    The RT-44 mouthpiece was the perfect fit for my needs. I had been playing on a similar mouthpiece for a while that I needed to return. I asked Professor Mouthpiece for a recommendation of something similar. Professor Mouthpiece knew exactly what I needed out of a mouthpiece pointed me in the best direction.

    This is my most recommended mouthpiece for students who are looking to upgrade. No matter what instrument they are playing, they see a 100% improvement in pitch, tone, and range. I personally prefer this mouthpiece as my chamber mouthpiece as it’s great for brass quintet!!

    As a professional tubist (126th Army Band and other groups), I am very stubborn about trying new gear, however I had this mouthpiece recommended to me by some colleagues I respect including my teacher, and it has surpassed my expectations. I am using it with my Meinl Weston Thor CC and it absolutely sings. I'm thoroughly pleased!

    I've tried a lot of mouthpieces recently and hands down the RT-44 has been the best one! The 44 allows me a lot of comfort on my MRP CC. I really feel like I've found my voice with this combination. It's great because for whatever reason it makes each horn play the way I want it to!
