    The RT-50+ provides all of the best qualities of the RT-50 with the tonal stability provided by the heavy shell design.  The added weight allows more projection of the sound while retaining a dark core of sound.  It works really well when very loud dynamics are required but also makes the response easy for soft dynamics.

    This mouthpiece has it all!! Great Tone for Marching and Concert Band. Very Comfortable. I recommend this mouthpiece to any beginner or intermediate tuba player.

    Great all around mouthpiece for me. Bought this mouthpiece for a 3/4 CC Weril tuba that is being played in a Honk Band and Beerhall/Bar gigs. Easy to get a nice loud brassy raw sound of the smaller horn while still playing without overblowing. Does not sacrifice tonal quality when playing quietly or articulation when playing quick passages. Unexpectedly this mouthpiece also helps compensate for a peculiarity of my instrument. F2 and G2 were particularly hard to find the center of the note and could sound unstable with a Bach 18 and Helleberg. I don't know if it is the heavy shell or something else with the geometry, but these notes are much more in tune and easier to slot with this mouthpiece.

    After a brief chat with the good people at Professor mouthpiece, their recommendation of the RT50+ was ABSOLUTELY spot on! In a nut shell, bigger sound, more focused low end, and clarity on my old 186 BBb. I sincerely appreciate the advice as well as the top notch customer service. Thank you!

    I’m very pleased with the RT-50+ on my BBb 1958 Martin “Mammoth.” I'm getting generally a clearer, less woofy tone with it than I’ve been with PT-88, smoother transitions across the partials, quicker response so all the notes in fast passages in the low to mid range come out clearly, and the top space G, which I'm likely to chip with the 88, is much more solid on the 50+. Thanks again for all your help!
