The Mr. P 5.0H tuba mouthpiece by Liberation is designed by Daniel Perantoni, Professor of Music at the distinguished Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. Also known as Mr. P, Perantoni has been in the mouthpiece business for several decades and the 5.0H is the modern version of an earlier very successful design. The Mr. P Signature tuba mouthpieces have been engineered for better response, ease of playability, and a centered, focused sound.
The Mr. P 5.0H has the same cup and rim as the 5.0, which is the largest and most popular funnel shaped mouthpiece in the Mr. P Signature line. The 5.0H has added mass for more power and focus in the sound. Mr. P has also designed a sharper rim for better flexibility for the 5.0H.
